Dear Daisies,
We invite you to participate in a fun community service project next Friday, January 27th.
We'll be welcoming new born babies to Winchester and to the World. After school we will go straight to the hospital. A group will walk from Muraco to the Winchester Hospital. Let us know if your daughter would like to walk with the group, and we'll be sure to pick her up at the front door next Friday. Or, if you prefer to drive, we can meet at the front entrance to the hospital ~2:45.
A nurse will accompany the girls to see the babies -- through the window in the nursery.
Then we will settle down in a waiting area and work on creating little care packages for the families with new babies. We'll have cards and baby onesies that the girls can sign and decorate. If anyone wants to bring additional treats for the care packages, please feel free to bake cookies (for the new moms), or bring any other treats that you think would be appropriate. Not at all required, but we invite you to participate in this way if you'd like. We've been told to plan for ~15 new babies.
We'll bring a snack for the girls to enjoy while they are creating the care packages.
We'll walk back to the school at 4pm. You may pick up your daughter on the kindergarten playground to the front of the school at ~4:15.
Any and all parents are welcome to join us for this outing. Please let us know your plans, so we can keep track of the girls who will not have a grown-up along for this field trip.
We hope that the girls will enjoy seeing the babies, and welcoming them into our community.
We've been given strict instruction that only healthy Daisies may attend, so please help us keep that promise.
